Research Interests: My research program of study focuses on racism-related stress and health disparities. My research involves exploring the interplay between sociocultural strengths and risks to understand how these factors contribute to the increased vulnerability, or protection, of Black communities.

Research Interests: My research interests focus on exploring how the impact of oppressive social structures contribute to health disparities among Black communities and the connection between applied psychology and health policy. My dissertation focuses on social determinant barriers to mental health utilization by rural Black Americans.

Research Interests: My interests include adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies and constructs involving African American/Black women. Broadly, my current topic of interest is the Strong Black Woman (SBW) Schema and its impact on Black women's well-being. Currently, my dissertation focuses on the SBW schema, Psychological Pain Tolerance, and experiences of Psychological Pain.
